The OhmNomster Chronicles
In the olden times, only the flesh gods could protect the lands of OhmNomster from from the terrible Watt-Monster. When it screamed to life, water mills had to run twice as hard, steam engines forfeit their coal to the hungry mouth and everyone had to wear hearing protection.
Until Watt-Matheus came. He put the beast to rest, only waking it when its powers where needed. Calm entered the lands, Watt-Matheus helping where he could, doing the work left behind when Watt-Monster was sleeping in its cave. But he was old, some hinges already loose and not much brain capacity left. The people feared the day, the old man might perish. They started praying, monitoring his health, testing and probing what could be wrong with him. Even Watt-Monster seemed to help, casting a weekly incantation to secure the soul and works of Watt-Matheus.
Alas, to no avail, as the constant logging and writing down destroyed the last bit of soul Watt-Matheus had left.
As Watt-Monster stired to life again, Watt-Matheus made a last call to the people:
Fear not, a new prophet shall arrive soon. He will take care of your power usage, host whatever you want and in no time, make these lands known to the WWW!
The people didnt understand. What the heck is the WWW? Sounded like Neuland to them.
Weeks passed, even months. The coals had run dry, the water mills where screeching from useruse. Finally, the promised Watt-Martus, a former bureaucrat, converted knight from the house FOSS arrived.
He put Watt-Monster to rest, repairing any damage done to the village. Over the next few weeks, he build up a relationship with Watt-Monster. Watt-Monster finally told him the previous works of Watt-Matheus, summoning up the saved stories. Watt-Martus took on the work of Watt-Matheus and soon started doing even more for the village.
Today, Watt-Monster doesnt need to wake often anymore. The villagers only call out to it when they need its massive memory storage or a good chunk of power to blast through a problem. Naturally, the weekly incantation was kept in place, to ensure that Watt-Martus works wherent lost to the time either.
Watt-Martus takes on all the other problems of the day to day people, becoming a major part of the village.
