What is Deeptutor

Deeptutor is an AI-Tutoring System. Its main feature is personalization via cross-chat memory. If it all works out, mistakes you make along your way, will be focused on more directly by Deeptutor. You can also feed the system with “Knowledge Bases” to base its answers on documents/infos you provide.

How to use

My instance is a little bit weak and uses an API of an external service. Please pay attention to these things:

  • Dont spam
    • Please think a little bit about the requests, compute is not free.
  • Dont upload other peoples work or illegal content
    • While the send data isnt used for AI-Training / Fine-Tuning, the things will still be stored on my server and be send to other services (the AI-service). Always ask for permission to share anothers work!
  • Dont upload huge batches
    • The entire server is a little bit weak, uploading big files (>5MB pdf, a lot of text etc) might crash this service. Upload them one at a time.
    • Ive tested uploads with up to 80 small markdown files, this worked very well. Its mainly the difficulty and amount of parsing having to be done (eg PDFs with handwritten text or many images and graphs)
  • Use responsibly
    • Prompting the AI for a solution will not help your learning progress. Do not ask the AI to think for you, any task asked of you must eventually be solved by you independently! Prepare for this!
    • One solution to this is: work on a task by yourself and ask about problems you encounter, explanaitions using different examples, having the AI point to the lecture notes explaining this etc.
    • You can always upload your task-solution and ask where you did wrong / why you cant get the right solution, ensure that your prompt wont give you the entire tasks solution.
  • Use only for academic purposes
    • rolling back to “Dont spam”, this service aims to be a tutor-test-system. Use it as such, not as your debugger for personal projects. Looking at you, little API-Keys in .env files…
    • Dont use for personal chats please, assume I can read all your chats (I can) and write as such. Nothing about this is private or secure.
  • Comply with TU-Dresden guidelines about usage of AI:

Data-Security notice

EN: AI, parsing and embedding requests are forwarded to GWDG. These guys host services via the academiccloud and follow the DSGVO/IS027001 for data-security. Meaning: Your prompts and send files will be stored in Germany. Still stored tho. My server, the webinterface you see, doesnt follow anything. As im also storing your chats and uploads, please assume that everything you do can be seen by everyone. Im giving my best to secure this and other applications, but im no professional.
